The Story of Our "Lab" Dog

Our Labrador Retriever has become a friendly and familiar face in the diagnostic industry and for good reason. When Viracor Laboratories started in 2000, we searched long and hard for THE perfect symbol to tell the world exactly who we are. We wanted something that shared the same inherent qualities of our company. While carefully studying our company's traits, we found the perfect companion, the Labrador Retriever.

After the merger of Viracor and IBT Laboratories in 2009, we made the decision that the Labrador Retriever would remain the symbol of the new, combined company. The same qualities that made the Labrador Retriever the perfect choice for Viracor in 2000, continue to be the same traits of Viracor-IBT today - and will remain as such even as our company continues to grow.

And so our lab dog, affectionately known as "Helix," is our face to the industry and a constant reminder of the intrinsic characteristics that make us Viracor-IBT.
