Order Tests & View Results

DNA When it comes to paperwork and the number of steps it takes to get from ordering a test to viewing a result, we think less is definitely better so that more time is spent caring for the patient. That’s why we designed our assays using ambient specimen shipping and automation to simplify our clients’ role in administrative processes. We encourage our clients to take advantage of the services we have to offer, such as web-based ordering and reporting, interfacing with our LIS, specimen mailing kits, and many more.  You will find the services we offer in this section regarding routine diagnostic testing. We are confident they will work well for your organization; however, if a service is needed that is not currently offered, please contact us .

We also don’t believe in waiting more than 24 hours for a test result.  That’s why we have 24-hour turnaround time on ViraCor’s assays.

Our Service Staff is available to address any questions you may have regarding tests, results, specimen collection, and shipping, or any other inquiry.  If your matter requires our scientists, you will speak with one who can answer your questions… To speak with a member of our Service Staff, call 1-800-305-5198 or 1-816-347-0113 Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Voicemail is available after hours, weekends, and holidays; messages will be returned promptly on the next business day.

Follow these steps for a test to be performed at ViraCor:

  1. A physician must order the test; see Ordering Methods .
  2. Specimen is drawn at the physician’s office or a location chosen by the physician; see Specimen Collection .
  3. A ViraCor Test Request Form  must be completed. Contact us to request a form to be sent via fax or mail.
  4. Specimen along with completed Test Request Form is shipped priority overnight to ViraCor. See Specimen Shipping . Specimen mailing kits are available at no charge; see Specimen Mailing Kits .
  5. Results are sent to the ordering physician within 24 hours after the specimen arrives at ViraCor. Results can be sent to multiple locations; see Viewing Test Results .
